Who We Serve: SEDI and Very Small Businesses (VSB)
Find out who qualifies for SBGI’s free assistance and how we prioritize SEDI and very small business owners.
We focus on two main participant groups:
SEDI Businesses – Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals, including minority, women, veteran, and immigrant entrepreneurs.
Very Small Businesses (VSB) – Companies with fewer than 10 employees and limited annual revenue.
Our support is open to all Illinois businesses that meet the federal SSBCI definition of a small business. Priority is given to those who face systemic barriers to accessing capital or professional services.
